Looking for the first step toward a career in scuba? Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational scuba diving begins with the Islanders Dive Center Divemaster program. Working closely with one of our professional instructors, you will expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

During the Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others improve their scuba abilities. You put this knowledge into action through a structured internship or series of practical training exercises.

Help bring the sport you love to others. The look on new divers faces when they surface from that last training dive and you tell them they made it is awe inspiring. Knowing you helped them to become part of the sport of diving is priceless.

Islanders Dive Center takes pride in our Divemasters and in the Divemaster courses we teach. Some courses give you just what you need to pass, our course helps prepare you for the next level of training for those who wish to go on to Assistant Instructors or Open Water Scuba Instructors, and we will give you a solid foundation to build upon. Learn the skills that will make you a good Divemaster.

Cost for Divemaster course is $595.00. This includes all pool fees, dive site entry fees, and air fill-up fees. Also included is the Divemaster crew pack, consisting of a briefcase to carry everything in, Encyclopedia of Diving, Divemaster Manual, workbook, progress sheet, decals and professional information. Other stores may charge less, but neglect to include books, materials, and other fees in this price. At Islanders Dive Center, the price we quote is the price you pay, never any hidden fees or charges.
