Already have your Open Water Certification, but want to increase your diving ability? The SDI Advanced Adventure Diver or the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification is the next step of your diving journey. Completing this certification will help you develop your skills, increase your confidence in your diving ability, and have even more fun!   Advanced gives you a chance to sample new and different types of diving such as deeper diving, night diving, underwater photography, or ride on a DPV.

SDI Advanced Adventure Diver

The SDI Advanced Adventure Diver Development Program was created to make truly “Advanced Divers.” The SDI Advanced Diver Development is a great way to diversify and specialize your diving skills and is the most cost effective way to get four individual certifications under your belt!

Upon completion of SDI Advanced Adventure Diver Program you will be certified in Deep, Navigation, Night and Computer Diver. Plus once you have completed 25 dives we will process your Advanced Open Water Cert for free!

This course takes about 8 dives to complete. The SDI Advanced Diver Development Program is a two weekend commitment and will make you a very skilled diver( you do not have to take them back to back and you can even do just one Sat or Sun 4 times).
You will need to purchase your learning materials and pay your way into the Dive Site. If you don’t have scuba gear we will rent it to you at a reduced rate for being one of our customers

PADI Advanced Open Water

Requires a total of five dives including Deep Water, Navigation and three specialty dives of your choice. Here at Islanders Dive Center, specialty dives most often include Peak Performance Buoyancy, DPV and one of the following: Night, Boat or Multi-level. These five dives are introduction dives in these specialty areas, so while you will get the experience, you won’t get certifications in these specialty areas…yet. These specialty dives do, however, count toward these more advanced courses, making it easier and faster to complete them in the future. For example, if you decide to pursue the Deep Certification, which usually requires four dives, you will only need three if you have completed your Advanced Open Water Course. Once you have completed the Advanced Open Water Course, you will receive your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and will be qualified to dive to up to 100 feet. You will need to purchase your learning materials and pay your way into the Dive Site. If you don’t have scuba gear we will rent it to you at a reduced rate for being one of our customers.
